Joshua is a 4th year PhD student in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Vanderbilt University. He is a native of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area and a proud graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, a Historically Black University. His research interests include community resilience, natural hazard risk education, and equitable infrastructure planning practices. When he’s not working on research, you may find him tutoring, reading, in the gym, listening to music, or playing chess.
