Providence, May 15, 2024

The Leadership Alliance is proud to announce the addition of four prestigious new members to its coalition: Regeneron, North Carolina Central University, Clark Atlanta University, and Emory University. This expansion brings together a dynamic mix of partners from the pharmaceutical industry, historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), and R1 research institutions, significantly enhancing the Alliance’s existing membership base.

With the inclusion of these distinguished members, the Leadership Alliance reinforces its commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within academia and the private sector. Regeneron, a leader in biotechnology, joins top educational institutions North Carolina Central University, Clark Atlanta University, and Emory University in our mission to offer enhanced opportunities for underrepresented students pursuing careers in research and development.

"These new partnerships are perfectly aligned with the Leadership Alliance's strategic objectives to expand our reach and increase support for undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral scholars," said Dr. Taiese Bingham-Hickman, Executive Director of the Leadership Alliance. "The integration of a major pharmaceutical company and renowned academic institutions into our network not only diversifies our resource pool but also broadens the horizons for our students."

The new members are committed to the Alliance’s goals and will provide additional resources and pathways for underrepresented students to excel in both academic and private sectors. This collaboration is expected to introduce innovative programs and initiatives that will further empower students and contribute to the development of a more diverse leadership landscape in the future.
